08 Jul Remploy become one of the first organisations to use Google Drive for Work
On Wednesday 25th June 2014, Google announced the launch of Drive for Work, a file sync and share solution providing completely unlimited storage for organisations. With a whole host of security features such as admin controls, fine grain audit and reporting tools, Drive for Work gives IT administrators complete control over the data shared inside and outside of their organisation, and gives users one single platform to store, share, create and edit information. Drive for Work gives organisations the opportunity to save an unlimited amount of data to the cloud, which allows access from anywhere on any device, along with all the great functionality of Google Apps for Business.
Remploy is a specialist provider of employment services for people with disabilities, with a network of 64 branches across the UK. In Summer 2013, Remploy started using Google Apps for Business for over 1000 members of staff, enabling them to work more collaboratively as an organisation, providing their teams with the tools they needed to find jobs for over 17,500 people last year. Following the release of Drive for Work in June 2014 at Google I/O, Remploy became the first and largest company in the UK to upgrade their Google Apps for Business contract to Drive for Work, becoming one of the first companies across the globe to adopt Drive for Work.
