21 Aug Create rich text signatures in Gmail

Your signature is a place to express yourself and your company, and give some personality to your email. Follow these simple steps to add some simple design to your Gmail signature.

Google Apps Tips - Gmail signaturesTo set up your signature, or to add some sparkle to an existing one, head to your Gmail Settings. You will find your signature under General settings. Here, you can enter your name, contact details, and company email policy. At the top of the signature content box, you have a number of tools to use to create a custom design for your email footer, including font, text styles, text colour, adding a hyperlink, and the option to add an image.

To add an image, click on the image icon. Your image will need to be hosted online, as a URL is required to insert an image. You can then place this, resize it, and insert a hyperlink into the image.

When you are happy with your new signature, scroll to the bottom of general settings and hit ‘Save Changes’. Now, when you open up a new compose window, your signature will naturally appear. You can make changes at any time by going back to your Settings.
