17 Oct “Watch this space” say Googlers at AppsCare Going Google event

On Wednesday 15th October, AppsCare were joined by senior IT professionals from organisations across the UK, who are looking to transform their workplace with Google for Work. Hosted in the Town Hall at Google London – the venue which hosts Google’s annual Atmosphere events – AppsCare were joined on stage by experts at Google for Work, who captivated audiences with the latest trends and news from Google and the cloud, and real life examples of innovation and transformation.

To kick off the event in the early afternoon, we explored the future of work by taking a look at macro technology trends, followed by the competitive advantage businesses can achieve by moving to the cloud. We also learnt about the changes in Google for Work over the past ten years, including the recent re-brand from Google Enterprise to Google for Work. Following this session, we took a deep dive into the latest developments in Google Apps and Google Drive for Work, before watching a live demonstration of the products in action. We also showcased Chrome devices, and how these can be used in the workplace.

The later sessions then continued to explore the different solutions available from Google for Work, including Google Maps for Work and Google Cloud Platform. A panel discussion at the end of the presentations gave the audience a chance to have their questions answered by Google and the AppsCare team, and gave the attendees an intimate experience with Google experts.
