How to add slide numbers in Google Slides: Google recently introduced the long awaited feature to add slide numbers to your Google Slides presentations. Here are the simple steps to help you get started. 

To get started, open up either your existing Google Slides presentation, or create a new file. Head over to ‘Insert’ and scroll down to ‘Slides numbers…’.

You will then be prompted to insert slide numbers, and you can opt to exclude slide numbers on title slides. Once you have made your selections, hit ‘Apply’.

You will then be able to view your slide numbers. You can select the slide numbers like a normal text block in Slides, and change the colour, size and font. This is particularly useful if you have slides with bright or dark coloured backgrounds, so you may need to alternate your slide number colours.
