11 Feb New improved features with Google Forms
The new Google Forms has improvements to add-ons, templates, script editing, and more. Let’s take a look at these features.
Templates from Google Forms home screen
Various templates are available from the Google Forms home screen. You can choose from various templates including work and educational related. To choose a template, select the More option at the top right hand side of your page and click on the template you wish to use.
Take a look at some of the templates available below:
View responses as an individual response
You can see the responses to your form now in 4 ways:
- As a summary
- As individual responses
- In a Google sheet
- As a downloaded CSV file
Viewing responses as an individual response will save you time and prevent slowing down the editor. Open a form in Google Forms, at the top of the form click Responses and select Individual. To move between responses click Previous respondent or Next respondent.
Track responses to your Google Form
Once you have created a form, you will be able to see who the form has been sent to and who still needs to respond. If someone has not responded you will be able to send out a follow up reminder. This feature is launching to Rapid release on Feb 10, 2016, with Scheduled release coming in 2 weeks.
Install, use & uninstall add-ons
You can use add-ons to get extra functionality with Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. You can turn add-ons on and off or delete them at any time. To install add ons, open your form and go to the ‘More’ section at the right hand top of your screen. Select the option Get add-ons as shown below.
Hover over an add-on for more detail. To see a full description, click the add-on. To install the add – on click the blue ‘Free’ button .
For most add-ons, a message will appear requesting access to specific data that the add-on needs to work. If you agree to this, click Allow.
Why not give these features a go!
Until next week, stay tuned for more tips and tricks!
