EPUB is an open standard file format for digital books and is the most widely supported file format for publishing accessible documents and digital books. One of the main features of EPUB format is that it allows the text of a book to automatically be adjusted to different screen sizes on their favourite apps including smart phones, eReader devices, tablets and netbooks. EPUB also supports fixed-layout content.
Google have now launched a new feature which allows you to export Google Docs files as EPUB publications. To export Google Docs files as EPUB publications, simply go to the File menu > Download as > EPUB Publication (.epub) as shown below.
Here is an example of a file downloaded in the EPUB format.
