27 May Accept questions from your audience when presenting in Google Slides
Google have introduced a new feature allowing you to interact with your audience while doing a presentation on Google Slides. Members of the audience can submit questions and you can choose which of them you would like to answer.
Let’s take a look at this feature in action.
Once you are ready to accept questions go to ‘Presenter view’ in the drop down box under ‘Present’ at the top of the toolbar.
The following page will appear:
Select ‘Start new’ and the following link will appear on the screen of your presentation. The audience can put the link into their device to begin asking questions.
The audience member will be directed to this page below, where they can submit their questions.
This new feature also allows the audience members to vote on the questions that have been submitted.
The presenter has the option to prioritise the questions based on the voting system as shown below:
Now the presenter can click present to display the question to the audience as shown below:
Key notes:
- The Slides Q&A feature works on desktop computers, Android mobile devices, and iOS mobile devices.
- You can only use Slides Q&A if you have edit or comment access to that Slides presentation.
- By default, any user in your domain can submit a question. If your organization permits external sharing, you can allow external users to submit questions as well.
Until next time, for more tips and tricks.
